The majority of dental practitioners make the decision on how to restore implants after they are already osseointegrated. Sometimes the laboratory technician chooses the type of fixation method that is more convenient once the case is on the bench. For optimal results, this decision should be clearly made at the treatment planning phase (before the implant is placed).
